Terms of use

GCSE Maths AI app and the gcsemaths.ai website

Version 0.9 (draft for review) · Last updated 26 October 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

GCSE Maths AI is provided by Neuro-Symbolic Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16780511, registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. These terms are an agreement between you and Neuro-Symbolic Ltd. By downloading or using the app you agree to them.

2. Who may use the app

The app is intended for pupils preparing for GCSE Mathematics. If the pupil is under 18, a parent or guardian must set up the account, hold the subscription and accept these terms on the pupil's behalf. By doing so you confirm you are entitled to give that consent.

3. Subscriptions and payment

4. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for the purpose of learning mathematics. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies to the app; where it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply to the extent permitted.

5. Using the app properly

You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or its content, not to try to gain access to our servers other than through the app, and not to use the app in a way that could harm other users or the service. One subscription is for one pupil.

6. What the app is, and is not

GCSE Maths AI is an educational aid. It assesses understanding, arranges lessons and gives hints and feedback, and it is designed to complement school teaching rather than replace it. Because it uses artificial intelligence, it can occasionally make a mistake in an explanation or hint; we work hard to minimise this and we welcome reports when it happens. We cannot promise any particular examination result.

7. Availability

The app needs an internet connection to work, because the tutoring runs on our servers. We aim to keep the service available at all times but cannot guarantee it, and we may change or improve features as the app develops. If we ever withdraw the service, we will give subscribers reasonable notice.

8. Your account and information

Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the lessons and all related content belong to Neuro-Symbolic Ltd or its licensors. The pupil's own written working remains theirs.

10. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you subscribed, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the app and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have to bring a claim where you live.
